Umami: Umami is an authentic delicatessen in Wantage near Oxford that was acquired by two passionate foodies, who were keen to develop the brand reflecting their vision for the future.
Background: The partners were very enthusiastic to retain the existing customer base and build on the successful aspects of the existing business. With this in mind they were keen to develop the logo and produce various assets to promote their offer.
Result: Working closely with the client a sophisticated logo was produced based around the word Umami meaning ‘A pleasant savoury taste’. A dill icon/illustration with teal/green and copper colour palette was created and applied to various packaging, store fascia, menu boards, promotional literature etc. The clients was very pleased with the outcome and is rolling the brand aspects out over time alongside running the delicatessen.
